Services

by NESSS |

We at the Northeast Spectral Science Society take pride in our investigative and consultation services, and strive to help you, the client, find the answers you seek.

If you are experiencing strange activity in your home or business and would like to know more, please contact us to set up a free, confidential and professional consultation. The Northeast Spectral Science Society is a non-profit organization, and as such we never charge for our services, nor do we recommend that our clients choose any team that does. Our non-profit status enables us to maintain our objectivity and scientific integrity at all times, while still offering a valuable service to our clients.

Consultations:
Upon receiving your request for a consultation, a member of our case management staff will contact you to arrange an appointment. Two to four members of the Northeast Spectral Science Society will meet with you in person, ideally in the location where activity is said to occur, and discuss your case. Upon reaching a mutual agreement to move forward with a full investigation, we will schedule a date and time, usually on a weekend, to begin our research.

Investigations:
The Northeast Spectral Science Society will deploy between four and eight highly trained and professional members of our team to investigate each case, depending on the size of the location.

The investigation does not have to occur at night. We would like to be present at the time of day when you experience the majority of the anomalous activity, whenever that may be.

Before beginning, we will offer a series of documents for your perusal and signature, including confidentiality statements and mutual liability waivers.

We welcome a maximum of two adult residents or representatives of the home or business to join and monitor our investigation, however we do recommend that any others not be present, especially those under the age of 16. These recommendations allow us to better manage variables such as noises and movement which may contribute to false-positive readings on our equipment.

As a methodical and objective organization, we specialize in finding alternate explanations for perceived paranormal activity. We will tailor our experiments to your individual case to determine if any of the strange phenomena you report has a natural or normal cause.

Using a variety of resources, we will conduct thorough and independent historical research on the location and its origins. This historical information may help to explain both your experiences and any data we collect during the course of our investigation.

We will set up and employ various data-collection devices, including static and hand-held video cameras, audio recorders, microphones, digital still cameras, electromagnetic field meters and thermometers. We will also set up a central command station including computer and monitoring equipment. In most cases, we will need at least one working electrical outlet. We will not damage any surfaces with tape, pins, or other mounting devices. None of the equipment or techniques that we utilize during the investigation will harm or leave any lasting effect on you or your home or business.

We do not provoke, taunt or otherwise disrespect any potential spirits present. Though this is often shown as a way to entice an entity to make itself known on popular television shows, we feel that this practice can do more harm than good and may create a dangerous environment for both you and our team.

We are not interventionists, meaning that we are not in the business of clearing or passing on any ghosts or spirits which may be determined to be present. However, if you decide that this is a necessary next step, we are prepared to offer recommendations on how best to go about obtaining that kind of service.

The Northeast Spectral Science Society will thoroughly investigate all areas of interest in your home or business; this will take a a total of two to six hours per instance, depending on the size of the location and the scope of the case.

It is our policy to investigate a location at least two to three times before offering our final report. In this report, we will exhibit any evidence of interest and submit our opinion regarding the activity reported, however it must be stated that many cases do remain inconclusive.

In most cases, we will also post a summarized report on our website. We always remove any reference to persons or exact locations, including last names, addresses, identifying photos, videos or audio clips, or anything else that would jeopardize confidentiality. Of course, you may speak freely about your experience with us however you see fit.

After we present our reports, we will maintain contact with you and remain available to reopen our case at your request should anything new transpire.
